Though the music on Beyoncé is stellar-she is currently up for six Grammys because of it, including Album of the Year-it might have been the dozen-plus music videos that came with the CD that made people the most excited. The singer’s self-titled album was dropped on an unsuspecting public without any warning, causing an uproar unlike anything the music industry has seen in recent memory, and leading some to call her fifth record the best she’s ever put out.
